Vanderbilt University Medical Center employees are invited to an open session for staff as a part of the Fourth Magnet Designation process for Vanderbilt Adult Ambulatory Clinics.
The session will be held from 3-3:50 p.m. on March 29 in Preston Research Building (PRB), Room 569. This conference room is obscured from the public and allows staff members to feel comfortable sharing information with the Magnet appraisers.
The Open Session will take place during the Magnet Site Visit, March 28-30, in which appraisers from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) will evaluate Vanderbilt Adult Ambulatory Clinics for Magnet designation. The ANCC’s Magnet designation is the highest honor an organization can receive for the provision of nursing care and interprofessional collaboration. VUMC has received Magnet designation three times — 2006, 2012 and 2017.
