Title: Magnetic Resonance Clinical Science and Its Role in Bringing Medical Innovation into Practice
Bringing medical innovations into practice is typically a result of close collaboration between healthcare providers, researchers, and commercial vendors. In the field of magnetic resonance imaging, clinical scientists work at the interface of those collaborating stakeholders and seek to balance real-world clinical unmet needs with technical possibilities. In this presentation, the role and function of MR clinical scientists are described, and the importance of clinical value propositions and clinical validation is explored. Experiences with the development and commercialization of medical imaging innovations in both large and small companies will be shared.
