The Vanderbilt-affiliated cancer center in Clarksville has a new name: Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center at Tennova Healthcare – Clarksville (VICCTHC).
The radiation oncology center, which opened Dec. 8, 2004, as a joint venture partnership with Clarksville Health Systems, was formerly known as Gateway-Vanderbilt Cancer Treatment Center.
Vanderbilt Health Services is the managing partner of the joint venture, and the center is staffed by Vanderbilt University Medical Center radiation oncologists. VICCTHC has two linear accelerators for external beam radiation treatments. Approximately 425 new patients seek treatment there annually for all types of cancer. Corbin Johnson, MD, assistant professor of Radiation Oncology, is the center’s medical director.
