VUMC to discontinue COVID-19 hotline

Jun. 27, 2022, 8:58 AM

Effective July 1, 2022, the VUMC COVID-19 hotline will be discontinued. As the pandemic has evolved, other resources have become available to patients and staff resulting in a significant decrease in the volume of calls. After July 1, if the hotline number is called, individuals will receive the following message: “Thank you for calling the Vanderbilt COVID-19 Hotline. The hotline is no longer in service. For any COVID-related questions or assistance, please call your clinician or health care professional.” Patients looking to connect with the Adult Post-Acute COVID Clinic should be directed to the following number: 615-936-1212.

The VUMC COVID-19 hotline has taken close to 300,000 calls since it started in April 2020. The hotline has been an invaluable resource for the community to both provide COVID-19 information and direct individuals to appropriate places for testing and care. The VUMC COVID-19 website currently remains in place but will also start to transition in coming months to separate patient information and VUMC internal information.
