We’re entering a season of holidays, gathering with loved ones, and colder weather. The best way to help you and your loved ones stay healthy is by getting your COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccine.
The most recent COVID-19 booster is here and available to all eligible VUMC faculty and staff. According to the Federal Drug Administrative (FDA), the bivalent booster vaccines are highly recommended for all individuals 12 years and older. You are eligible for the bivalent booster if it has been two months since your last booster or, for those who haven’t yet received a booster, the final dose of your primary vaccine series.
You can visit the following VUMC locations to receive the bivalent booster vaccine:
- Vaccination Clinic at Vanderbilt Health One Hundred Oaks
- Occupational Health Clinic (Medical Arts Building)
- Vanderbilt Health Hendersonville Primary Care
- Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital
- Vanderbilt Bedford County Hospital (Moderna only)
- Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital
- Vanderbilt Children’s Primary Care in Smyrna
All VUMC employees are asked to update their record with Occupational Health by Jan, 15, 2023. Employees can update their record by getting their bivalent booster through Occupational Health, voluntarily self-reporting their booster if received outside of Occupational Health or submitting an exemption request. Exemption options specifically for the COVID-19 booster include an option to decline to provide documentation. If you requested and received an exemption from the primary series or initial booster requirement, you do not need to submit a new exemption request.
