Allied Ophthalmic Personnel (AOP) Week, designated by the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO), will be observed Nov. 7-11 at VUMC. AOP Week is a promotion by IJCAHPO to recognize AOP and their contribution to eye care and to increase public awareness of ophthalmic career opportunities.

As in the past, there are a variety of events and activities planned for the week and a breakfast and luncheon at each location one day during that week – main campus, Lebanon, Franklin, Hendersonville, and Murfreesboro.

Below are some of the activities planned by the department:

  • Monday – personal notes
  • Tuesday – Snack shack – campus location
  • Wednesday – breakfast – Lebanon, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro locations
  • Thursday – pizza lunch
  • Friday – cookies
