The reputation survey for U.S. News and World Report’s Best Hospitals and Best Children’s Hospitals rankings opened on Feb. 14 to eligible clinicians who have registered their Doximity accounts.

The survey initially opened to 10% of eligible Doximity users and is expected to roll out to all others during the week of Feb. 20. The survey is typically open four to five weeks.

Clinicians who are eligible to vote will find an invitation to do so when they sign in to their Doximity accounts. They also will get an email notice to the address associated with their account.

A webpage with answers to common questions can be found at VUMC.org/main/besthospitals. This includes a link to the eligibility criteria and updates in methodology. It also includes contact information for Doximity support to troubleshoot any technical issues.

The rankings are often considered by patients as well as prospective trainees, faculty recruits and donors when they’re choosing places for care and training or giving their financial support. Taking part in the survey allows clinicians to influence the rankings with what USNWR calls “expert opinion.”

Updates will made to the FAQ page as they are received.
