The new Medical Center Training Center at 2525 West End Avenue, Suite 212, will have a ribbon-cutting event a 1 p.m. on Feb. 28. Light refreshments will be served.
The new training center is a state-of-the-art facility that opened on Feb. 13. It has five training classrooms, set up for optimized eStar training. Each classroom has 12-16 student workstations and an instructor workstation. The workstations are primarily set up as clinical workstations with twelve administrative workstations. Each training room features a large screen TV with wireless access through Air Media, to push content from the instructor’s laptop to the classroom participants. All student workstations are equipped with dual monitors, web cameras, and wired headsets for communicating with their virtual trainer.
The student workstations may be reserved by anyone who is scheduled for eStar training and needs access to a computer. To reserve a workstation, use this link: 2525 West End, Suite 212 Seat Reservation
In addition to the training classrooms, the training center features five Virtual Training Rooms (VTR), for training staff to conduct their online classes. Each VTR has a docking station, a single monitor and large screen TV, Crestron Media bar for sound and camera, web camera installed on the single monitor, and a headset for speaking to trainees.
