Do you know how to stop life-threatening bleeding?
The Stop the Bleed program is a national awareness campaign launched in 2015 with the goal of providing training on how to help in a bleeding emergency.
Learn how to be an “immediate responder” to control bleeding by using compression, applying a tourniquet or packing a wound.
This training is provided by the Vanderbilt Division of Acute Care Surgery.
No prior medical training required and everyone is welcome.
The class is set for May 16 at 12:30-1:30 p.m. in 433 Light Hall. Space is limited due to available seating in the room.
