Allied Ophthalmic Personnel (AOP) Week, designated by the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO), will be observed Nov. 6-10 at VUMC. AOP Week is a promotion by IJCAHPO to recognize AOP and their contribution to eye care and to increase public awareness of ophthalmic career opportunities.
As in the past, there are a variety of events and activities planned for the week and a breakfast and luncheon at each location one day during that week – main campus, Lebanon, Franklin, Hendersonville, and Murfreesboro.
Below are some of the activities planned by the department:
- Monday – hand written notes from manager
- Tuesday – lunch for tech staff only
- Wednesday – snacks for tech staff only
- Thursday – breakfast for all
- Friday – cookies or brownies
