Karen Winkfield, MD, PhD, professor of Radiation Oncology and Executive Director of the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance, was selected as Chair of the Ad Hoc Subcommittee on Population Science, Epidemiology, and Disparities for the National Cancer Advisory Board and will lead her first meeting on Feb. 8 at 9 a.m. CST.
In addition to having staff share updates on the NIH Working Group efforts to define and measure the social determinants of health, the new NCI Director, Kimryn Rathmell, MD, PhD, MMHC, former chair of the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt, will join as a special guest speaker.
