Employees of VUMC can sign up to receive emergency alerts about violent crimes occurring on or near the Vanderbilt campus.
Faculty, students or staff of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt University are eligible to receive AlertVU notifications.
AlertVU rapidly sends messages to the delivery points a user has chosen—cell phone (voice or text), landline and email account—in the event of an emergency that poses an imminent threat or danger to the Vanderbilt community. Examples of such threats include assaults, robberies, a tornado forecast to strike Vanderbilt or an active shooter on campus.
Medical Center employees need to use MyWorkday to update their contact information to be contacted by AlertVU. Instructions are here.
