The Firefly program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center provides comprehensive care and treatment for pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorder and their children. On the evening of Aug. 16, Firefly is hosting “Glowing Strong,” a fundraiser at the Brooklyn Bowl to celebrate the bravery and strength of women in recovery, and to raise money to support Firefly’s growth and continued ability to care for women and their families affected by addiction. The fundraiser will feature bowling, a silent auction, food and drink, and a performance by the rock bank the Goo Goo Dolls, known for their hits “Name” from the 1995 album “A Boy Named Goo” and “Iris” from the soundtrack of the movie “City of Angels.”
