Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center celebrated a ribbon cutting recently  at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center Cancer Center, where Vanderbilt-Ingram medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and advanced practice nurses are now the exclusive providers for cancer care.

The professional services agreement between the Cookeville hospital and Vanderbilt-Ingram took effect July 1. The new cancer relationship builds on a decade-long collaboration between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Cookeville Regional.

In 2012, the two entities entered an affiliation agreement to expand the scope of health care services in Cookeville and the Upper Cumberland region. The cancer collaboration follows an agreement reached in 2022 for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to provide pediatric physician services.
