VUMC Pets of the Day: Trevor El Santos and Ari

Today’s Cat of the Day is Trevor El Santos, submitted by Fiona Libsack of Marketing and Engagement. “Trevor’s cherished pastimes include savoring treats, capturing cicadas in the backyard, snuggling, and scaling the family game table despite being scolded not to. He also takes great pleasure in dismantling puzzles and running off with the pieces.

Today’s Dog of the Day is Ari, submitted by Sheelah Blankenship of Health Policy. “Ari is a 7-year-old German shephard and such a princess. She has to have things done her way and she will let you know if you are not doing something right. She is also an amazing nanny dog to our 4-year-old twin boys. She keeps them in line. She is the best dog in the whole world. We love her so much and could not imagine life without her.”

Pets of the Day — what you need to know

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Pets of the Day are included in regular editions of the MyVUMC News newsletter, which is posted twice a week by VUMC News and Communications.

The pets are selected from the hundreds of entries sent to the VUMC Voice Pet Photo Contest.

For those who submitted a photo to that contest, watch MyVUMC News for Pets of the Day, and in addition, regular collections of pet photos are posted to the VUMC Voice site. You can see them all here: https://news.vumc.org/section/voice/pets-vumc/.

If you have a pet you would like to nominate for Pet of the Day, the next Pet Photo Contest submission period is coming up later this year, and will be announced in MyVUMC News.

Trevor El Santos and Ari were featured in the April 1, 2025, edition of MyVUMC News.
