New year, new beginnings — and new little arrivals

Congratulations to all the families and welcome, Alden-Paul, Finley and Casper.

Alden-Paul Barrett Bishop, the first baby born at Vanderbilt University Hospital in 2026, arriving at 1:02 a.m. on Jan. 1. Alden-Paul weighed 5 pounds, 3.6 ounces, and was 18.9 inches long. Congratulations to mom Kristia and dad Byram Bishop on welcoming their fifth child, joining four sisters Raelynn, Adalynn, Marilynn and Madalynn.
Finley Lynn Kirk, the first baby born at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in 2026. Arriving at 12:45 a.m. on Jan. 1, Finley weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 19 1/2 inches. Congratulations to mom Mallory, dad Cyle and sister Vivian.
