Vanderbilt University Medical Center has implemented a new service to provide assistance with audio/visual (AV) support issues.
The new team, known as Interim Audio Visual Support, is available by calling 615-343-HELP to assist with technology issues in meeting and conference room areas.
The team will provide assistance with triaging projectors, projection screens, AV room control systems, video conferencing setup and related issues pertaining to meetings and conference room spaces. This team does not support telephone, electrical power or general lighting issues, which are all supported by other existing Vanderbilt organizations.
If you have an existing support contract with an AV partner, the team can assist by coordinating with your vendor. If no vendor agreement exists, and hardware failure or maintenance is required, the team will assist you with established repair through one of Vanderbilt’s approved partners. The Interim AV Support team will also work with you to establish an agreement (if desired).
The team, led by interim director David Cochran, has the main objective of assisting you with maintaining the effectiveness and functionality of your AV resources. When outages do occur, Cochran aims to facilitate a rapid response and restoration of service in a timely fashion. Support will be available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
These services are exclusively available to the Medical Center, and the team will be based on VUMC’s main campus. The logistics of supporting remote facilities and clinics will be addressed on a case-by-case basis as issues, questions and concerns arise in those areas.
