Earlier videos in the “MyWorkday What’s Happening?” series focused on exploring specific functionality within the new Workday system. The latest video in the series takes a slight departure and instead gives employees an introduction to the upcoming cutover process for the MyWorkday program.
“Cutover” refers to the process of moving from multiple existing systems to our new systems, Tecsys and Workday. The video provides insight into how this process will work, including “freezing” or decreasing activity in existing systems to minimize the amount of recently entered data that needs to be migrated to the new systems.
The video highlights how employees will be kept informed of these freeze periods and what transactions will be affected.

Each of the short videos in the What’s Happening? series stars the MyWorkday “spokescloud,” MW. Watching each video will help employees better understand how common functionality will work within the new system and how to prepare for the transition coming April 1, 2023.
The MyWorkday program is VUMC’s enterprise-wide project to replace existing business systems and processes, including HR, supply chain, and finance. The new systems will arrive at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on April 1, 2023.
