Vanderbilt University School of Medicine will host Jon Stewart, a comedian, advocate, host of Apple TV+’s The Problem with Jon Stewart, former host of The Daily Show. He will join in a conversation with Robert Miller, MD, Patricia and Rodes Hart Chair in Medicine, Walter Clair, MD, Vice Chair for Diversity and Inclusion, and Ayesha Muhammad, MD, VMS4, for the April Flexner Deans’ Lecture, “A Conversation with Jon Stewart on Advocacy.”
Stewart has a long history of health advocacy work. His support was instrumental in the passage of September 11th Victims Compensation Fund and the recent Honor our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act of 2022. The latter was supported by work done at VUMC, including by Miller and many members of the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology.
This lecture will be held in Langford Auditorium on Friday, April 21 at 5 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m.
