In the first hours after 2020 gave way to 2021, several new citizens of earth made their debut at VUMC, the first Vanderbilt babies of the new year. Above, the first baby of the year at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital — Nike Bentez Freeman, who was born to Jordan Freeman and Nick Vantrease of Lebanon at 2:05 a.m. on Jan. 1. He weighed 6 lbs., 5 oz., and was 18 inches long.
