Radiothon rings up funds for Children’s Hospital
The 2012 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothon benefiting the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt raised $173,000 in pledged support.
The annual “River of Hope Radiothon,” broadcast on 107.5-FM The River, took place March 1-2 on the performance stage at Children’s Hospital. The Radiothon was hosted by the radio station’s on-air personalities, including Woody and Jim, Ryno, Intern Adam and DJ Lunchbox. They interviewed patients and families who shared their stories and experiences at Children’s Hospital.
The Radiothon was put on hold for about three hours on the second day due to severe weather.
