Vanderbilt University Medical Center presents the sixth town hall in the On the Horizon series, “Exploring Diversity: Navigating Race and Ancestry in Research” with presentations from Alexander Bick, MD, PhD, Lea Davis, PhD, and Celestial Jones-Paris, PhD.
Join us to learn more about how Vanderbilt University Medical Center is working to increase awareness and promote education on handling race and ancestry within research, encouraging dialogue to bridge gaps in understanding and perspective.
The Vanderbilt Community will hear from some of Vanderbilt’s leaders at the forefront of guiding the scientific and medical communities in the use of race and ethnicity in biomedical research. Following the presentation there will be a Q&A session with the presenters in addition to experts in ethics, research resources, and health disparities from VUMC including Ellen Clayton, MD, JD, Nancy Cox, PhD, Sonja Reid, MD, and Wesley Self, MD.
