Children’s Hospital event leads to traffic changes Sept. 1–2

Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt will kick off the construction phase of the “Growing to New Heights” campaign to expand the Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Please make note of the following road closures and changes to traffic.

McNeilly, Stein show that support can last a lifetime

John Stein and Bob McNeilly Jr. were students at Vanderbilt University decades apart. One studied biology, the other education. One was a Nashville native, the other from Florida.

Sprint to perform maintenance Aug. 31

Sprint will perform maintenance on its 3G and LTE networks in the Nashville area on Aug. 31 from 1 to 5 a.m. During this timeframe, service will be interrupted in each cell one at a time. As a result, Sprint voice and data services may be degraded or unavailable intermittently during maintenance.

Carlos L. Arteaga, M.D., the Donna S. Hall Professor of Breast Cancer and director of the Center for Cancer Targeted Therapies and the Breast Cancer Program at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC), has been recognized for his cancer research efforts by the American-Italian Cancer Foundation (AICF).
