Speedway LLC, the nation’s second largest company-owned and -operated convenience store chain, has been one of the largest supporters of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMN) for more than two decades. That unwavering support includes Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, one of the founding hospitals of CMN.

With 21 locations in Middle Tennessee, Speedway hosts a variety of yearlong CMN fundraising efforts. Speedway also hosts a golf tournament near Dayton, Ohio, that raised more than $2 million in 2015—including $60,000 to benefit Children’s Hospital’s expansion—and includes a child ambassador from every CMN hospital. Maddy Christison, a 6-year-old who has spinal muscular atrophy, was the 2015 Speedway Miracle Child from Children’s Hospital.

“Maddy is one amazing little girl with an infectious smile,” said Kirk Ellis, Speedway senior district manager for the Tennessee market. “Our employees and customers love raising funds for CMN and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt because we love helping kids like Maddy.”
