Matt Kynes, MD’11, HS’12, FE’15, will be moving to Kenya with his family to start work as a staff anesthesiologist at AIC Kijabe Hospital. Kynes will be helping to start an anesthesiology residency program and is planning to stay for at least a five-year term.
Pierce Trumbo, MD’17, HS’20, and Frances Wright, MD’17, HS’21, were married on June 26, 2020.
Jessica Kaczmarek, MD’18, matched into a cardiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina and will be there from 2021 to 2024.
Michael Casner, MD’13, recently accepted a faculty position with the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is also celebrating his engagement to his fiancé, Patrick Tobin. They are planning for a wedding in Palm Springs, California, for October 2021, COVID-19 pandemic permitting.
Joseph Little III, BA’72, MD’77, HS’80, was chosen to receive the 2020 Olin Williams, MD Distinguished Service Award. The award recipient is selected annually by the staff of Saint Thomas-Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to honor a lifetime of dedication and service to the community.
Joseph Real, MD’12, and his husband, Matthew Zackoff, MD’12, finalized the adoption of their daughter, Olivia Frances Zackoff-Real, on Dec. 1, 2020. Olivia was born May 25, 2020.
F. Bradford Meyers, BA’76, MD’81, recently retired from his family medicine practice and was called to extended active duty with the Wisconsin Air National Guard in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Scott Zuckerman, MD’12, HS’19, and his wife, Autumn, welcomed their first child, Avery Rae Zuckerman, born Dec. 13, 2020.
Pamela Giacalone, MD’13 and Nicholas Giacalone, MD’13 welcomed their son, Vincent Paul Giacalone, on Oct. 2, 2020.
Britney Grayson, MD, PhD’12, HS’17, married Micah Wilfong on May 4, 2019. She completed her fellowship in pediatric surgery the following July and accepted a position as an assistant professor of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine.
