Dear Vanderbilt University Medical Alumni,
Congratulations, VUSM Class of 2015
The Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association (VMAA) proudly welcomed the newest members of our medical alumni family, the VUSM Class of 2015, at a faculty appreciation/”almost alumni” luncheon on May 6. I know each of you joins me in celebrating their achievements as we begin to eagerly anticipate learning of their success in future alumni news/worthy of note editions of Vanderbilt Medicine magazine.
VMAA Host Program
More than 385 alumni participate in our VMAA Host Program. The interview cycle for the VUSM class of 2016 will begin soon. Please see the website to learn more about this program, which greatly decreases travel costs for our fourth-year students as they travel the country for residency interviews. Your participation as a host will be greatly appreciated.
VUSM Reunion 2016
Our next biennial VUSM Reunion is scheduled for Oct. 20-22, 2016, in conjunction with VU’s Homecoming festivities. All VUSM classes ending in 0,1, 5, 6, the Quinq Classes ‘66 and ‘67, and the Quinq Plus classes (1965 and earlier) will gather for special anniversary class parties on Oct. 21. Visit our website for a preliminary schedule and check back frequently for updates.
VUSM Medical Education Opportunities for VU Homecoming/Reunion 2015 Participants
Are you a “dual” Vanderbilt alum celebrating a VU undergraduate reunion in 2015? While VUSM will not hold a reunion this year, the medical school will offer a strong slate of educational opportunities on Oct. 23 (many with CME) for alumni returning to campus for undergraduate Homecoming/Reunion festivities. Specialty-specific grand rounds and conferences are available for returning alumni. See our reunion website for a complete list.
VMAA Board Welcomes Four New Members
The VMAA board welcomes new representatives Ashlee Hurff Arteaga (Class of 2016), William Sullivan, M.D., (PGY-3, Medicine/Pediatrics), Rishi D. Naik, M.D., (PGY-3, Medicine) and Catherine Fuchs, M.D. (Linton Society).

It is always great to hear from you. Please submit your alumni news for our next edition of Vanderbilt Medicine magazine. Send your news and photographs to medalum@vanderbilt.edu.
We hope to hear from you soon.
