Nashville Christmas Parade lands Midsouth Regional Emmy Award

The 63rd Annual Nashville Christmas Parade in December 2016, which benefited Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, was awarded for best special event coverage at the 32nd Annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards on Jan. 20.

Dance Marathon Carnival

Seven universities and one high school joined together Monday, Jan. 15, to host the Middle Tennessee Dance Marathon Carnival at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to get to know their patient and family ambassadors as well as past and present patients of Children’s Hospital and their families.

With construction in full swing at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, the hospital is offering helpful tips for staff on which entrances to use and how to get around the facility during the lobby closure.

Rehm, Williams take new roles in Department of Pediatrics

Two Department of Pediatrics faculty members have been named to new and expanded roles. Kris Rehm, MD, has been named vice chair of Outreach Activities. Succeeding Rehm in her role as Division Chief for Hospital Medicine is Derek Williams, MD, MPH.
