Stepping Forward Giving Back

Gratitude fuels graduates’ scholarship creation efforts

When October’s Reunion 2014 rolls around at Vanderbilt University, alumni from Vanderbilt’s Schools of Nursing and Medicine will gather not only to renew enduring friendships, but also to celebrate the successful fundraising that many classes have undertaken to fund scholarships for deserving students who might not otherwise be able to attend the Schools of Medicine and Nursing.

Volunteers exemplify compassion, commitment

Fran Hardcastle still recalls her first volunteer experience — selling papers on Palm Sunday to benefit the Junior League Home for Crippled Children.

Events have long history of making a huge impact

They are touchstones on the Nashville calendar — Iroquois Steeplechase and the Music City Tennis Invitational usher in spring. The Eve of Janus is a celebration of summer. Christmas Village kicks off the holiday season.
