Norman Urmy, who has been working on strategic initiatives since stepping down last year as executive vice president for Clinical Affairs, is retiring — this time for good. For a quarter-century, Urmy oversaw the explosive growth of VUMC’s clinical enterprise, and earlier this week presented a retrospective of his career, titled “Blood, Sweat and 25 Years,” at a meeting of the Medical Center Board.
