Jordan Berlin, M.D., clinical director of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, has been named the new chair of the Gastrointestinal Intergroup Pancreas Cancer Task Force.
The group works to decide the agenda for nationwide pancreatic cancer research trials.
“We design, write and run the cooperative intergroup clinical trials.
“These trials are conducted in multiple cooperative groups at the same time,” said Berlin.
He has been a member of the task force for five years.
He is also program chair-elect this year of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium, to be held in Orlando this month, and will chair the program next year.
