Health insurer BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has begun phasing in new identification numbers for members of its various health plans.
The move stems from state privacy laws and BlueCross BlueShield Association requirements that involve stricter safeguarding of members’ Social Security numbers.
Faculty and staff should see new cards in the mail to their home addresses over the next couple of months.
