Children’s Hospital names finance director
Justine Kleinrichert was recently named the director of Financial Services for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. She also now serves as the assistant director of Finance at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Her financial acumen, familiarity with VUMC financial systems and processes, tremendous interpersonal skills and compassion for children are all attributes that make her an ideal candidate for this job,” said Jim Shmerling, CEO of Children's Hospital.
“Given the tremendous growth we are experiencing and the consequent challenges that are placed on the organization, Justine is going to be a key member of the management team that helps us navigate to even greater successes.”
Previously, Kleinrichert was the senior financial manager of the Patient Care Center in the Perioperative Services Department.
Before joining Vanderbilt in 2000, she spent 11 years at Saint Thomas Health Services.
Kleinrichert received a master's degree in Business Administration from Tennessee State University and an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Indiana University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
An assistant director of Financial Services, Michael McConnell, has also been named, effective July 1.
McConnell has served as a senior financial analyst at VUMC since 2002. Before joining Vanderbilt, he was a senior decision support analyst at Baptist Hospital.
McConnell received his master's degree in Health Administration at Tulane Univeristy and an undergraduate degree from Depauw University. He is an associate member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
