Daly on nurse credentialing panel
Mike Daly, M.S.N., MBA, was recently appointed to the Nurse Executive Content Expert Panel for the American Nurses Credential Center (ANCC).
In this role, he will be one of eight panelists who will advise the ANCC about the content of its nurse executive board certification, an exam that tests nursing leader competencies. He will serve for three years.
“This is a wonderful achievement for Mike,” said Marilyn Dubree, M.S.N., R.N., executive chief nursing officer of VUMC Nursing.
“His input will help shape and define the high standard of nursing leadership for many years to come.”
Daly joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2000 as a registered nurse in the Surgical Step-Down unit (9N).
Since then, he has earned his Master's in the Science of Nursing degree and served as a nurse practitioner in the trauma service for three years.
While working as a nurse practitioner, he completed the Owen School of Management's Master's in Business Administration program and rose to his current position of assistant administrator for the Surgery and Trauma Patient Care Center.
