Beginning tonight, Vanderbilt University students will dance the night away to benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt during the Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon.
The 14-hour, student-run event is open to the public. While the program started out as a dance-a-thon in 1995, it has evolved to include food, games, entertainment and a chance to meet some of the families who will benefit from the money raised.
The annual event, which costs $15 at the door, begins at 6 p.m., Feb. 23, and runs until 8 a.m., Feb. 24, at the Student Recreation Center.
Last year, the event raised more than $112,000 and more than 300 students participated. For more information visit www.vudm.org.
