Curtis L. Baysinger, M.D., recently joined the faculty of Vanderbilt University Medical Center as an associate professor of Anesthesiology in the obstetrics division.
Previously, Baysinger was an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesiology/Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and was chief of Anesthesiology at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is a retired U.S. Army reserve officer. He received both his bachelor’s degree in Engineering and his medical degree at Vanderbilt. Baysinger is a member of several medical societies including American Society of Regional Anesthesia, Society of Obstetric Anesthesia & Perinatology, the Columbia Medical Society, and American Society of Anesthesiologists. He has given more than 40 invited presentations and has authored more than 20 papers and textbook chapters.
