Cancer patient Michael Stanley, 4, left, and cancer survivor Gabe Sipos, 4, make dueling faces during the “Chemo Duck” launch party held in the theater of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt last week. Michael and other pediatric cancer patients will now receive their very own Chemo Duck doll, thanks to the efforts of Lu Sipos, Gabe's mom. She created a non-profit organization called Gabe's My Heart after her son was successfully treated for rhabdomyosarcoma, a type of fibrous cancer, at Children's Hospital. During Gabe's chemotherapy treatment, Lu dressed her son's beloved stuffed toy duck with a do-rag, scrubs and a central line, which provided Gabe great comfort.
