Nunzia B. Giuse, M.D., professor of Biomedical Informatics and director of Eskind Biomedical Library at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, was named editor of the Journal of the Medical Library Association at the group's annual conference in San Antonio.
The Medical Library Association is an organization existing to promote technologies for the sharing of health information and the creation of health knowledge. It consists of health information professionals, and publishes its peer-reviewed journal quarterly in January, April, July and October. The Journal of the Medical Library Association has a worldwide circulation of approximately 4,500.
Giuse will serve a three-year term as editor, where her responsibilities include developing the editorial content of the journal, submitting quarterly editorials, and monitoring the style, content, and representation of the submitted articles.
