Vanderbilt Eye Institute

Construction start — Fall 2006

Expected completion — January 2008

Cost — $11 million

Features — Renovation of 48,778 square feet of space in the South Garage Office Building (former home of the Page-Campbell Heart Institute). When complete, the Vanderbilt Eye Institute will also house the Tennessee Lion's Pediatric Eye Clinic; a refractive laser suite and diagnostics area; an optical retail shop, departmental offices; and 40 subspecialty exam/treatment rooms.

Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Clinic Expansion

Construction start — March 2007

Expected completion — December 2008

Cost — $16.5 to $20 million

Features — Expansion will relocate certain services and will nearly double useable space from 58,000 square feet to 116,000 square feet. Impacted clinics include the Cancer Clinic, Cancer Infusion, Stem Cell Clinic and Thoracic Clinic.
