Sarah Haverstick, Safe Children Program Manager at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, has been selected to serve on the National Child Passenger Safety Board.
During her three-year term, Haverstick will work with other board members to provide oversight for the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training Program and to ensure the quality and integrity of training and certification of technicians and instructors.
The 21-member panel represents national, state and local agencies in the fields of health, injury prevention, law enforcement, insurance, medicine and child safety seat and automobile manufacturers.
At Children's Hospital, Haverstick manages all child safety outreach and education initiatives.
