The Vanderbilt Heart & Vascular Institute will holds another set of Town Hall meetings on Thursday, Aug. 16, at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The meetings will take place in conference rooms one and two on the fifth floor of Medical Center East.
Douglas Vaughan, M.D., director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, and John Byrne, M.D., chairman of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, will address the topic of “Effective Patient Care: Negotiating Quality.” Specific topics of discussion will include the U.S. News and World Report ranking (Vanderbilt's program in Heart and Heart Surgery was ranked 21st in the nation), observed-to-expected mortality ratios, door-to-balloon time requirements for heart attack patients and program improvements.
Refreshments and giveaways will be provided. VHVI employees will be recognized for outstanding commitment to the AIDET mission and Customer Service Promise. All medical center employees are welcome.
