LifeFlight offers tours during ECM

Hundreds of Vanderbilt employees and members of the public toured LifeFlight headquarters and the helipad at VUH on Monday during an open house. The event was part of Vanderbilt’s Employee Celebration Month activities.

LifeFlight, the critical care transport service of Vanderbilt University Medical Center, is a multifaceted program for transporting critically ill or injured patients. The types of patients transported by LifeFlight include trauma and pediatric (most of whom are admitted to Vanderbilt), cardiac, medical, surgical, obstetrical, and neonatal. 

LifeFlight averages 1,800 flights per year utilizing two AEC117 helicopters, serving a 150-mile radius of Nashville.
