Robin A. McWilliam, Ph.D., director of the Center for Child Development and professor of Pediatrics and Special Education, has been elected vice president of the Division for Research of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). McWilliam will serve as president-elect in 2006. The CEC is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. The Division for Research is active in shaping the research agenda for children with disabilities and their families in the U.S. Department of Education.
