Carl Pepine, M.D., will be the guest speaker at the ninth annual Fred D. Ownby, M.D., Lectureship in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Pepine, chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine, will talk about “The Vasculopathy Underlying Ischemic Heart Disease in Women,” at Cardiology grand rounds, Wednesday, Nov. 2, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Theater Conference Room of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
He will also speak at Medicine grand rounds on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 8-9 a.m. in 208 Light Hall, with the topic being “Ischemic Heart Disease in Women: Facts and Wishful Thinking.”
The Fred D. Ownby, M.D., Lectureship in Cardiovascular Medicine was established in 1996 to honor the late Fred Ownby, M.D., a noted cardologist and clinician at Vanderbilt for more than two decades.
