Author Rebecca Skloot talks with Howard Jones III, M.D., following her lecture last week in Light Hall. Skloot spoke about her book, “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” which chronicles the life of an African-American woman whose cells were the first human cells grown in culture and which featured Jones’ father, Howard Jones Jr., M.D., currently professor emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk.
