Mariam Ferrel, R.N., right, is congratulated by Debianne Peterman, Ph.D., MSN, at a recent graduation ceremony for participants in the Frontline Leadership Academy. The comprehensive skills development program is for nurses and other health professionals on the front lines of patient care. Over 15 months, they take part in intensive classroom sessions, two practicum projects designed to apply teaching to daily practice and a mentorship program with nursing leaders.
