Former U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher, M.D., Ph.D., visited Vanderbilt to help inaugurate the Vanderbilt MPH David Satcher Public Health Scholars Program.
The merit-based scholarships provide applicants from under-represented minority groups full tuition support for the two-year Master of Public Health program at VUSM.
During his visit, Satcher had lunch with Tera Howard, right, the first Vanderbilt Satcher Public Health Scholar.
