The Nashville Health Care Council announced the appointment of its 2011-2012 board of directors. C. Wright Pinson, MBA, M.D., deputy vice chancellor for Health Affairs and CEO of the Vanderbilt Health System, joined the board on July 1 for a three-year term.
The Nashville Health Care Council, founded in 1995 as an initiative of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, is an association of health care industry leaders working together to further establish Nashville’s position as the nation’s health care industry capital.
The health care industry is Nashville’s largest and fastest growing employer, generating more than $70 billion in revenue and more than 400,000 jobs globally.
