‘Radiothon’ event set for March 10-12
The River of Hope Radiothon will be held at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt March 10-12. The fourth annual Children's Miracle Network (CMN) event will take place at the performance stage inside Children's Hospital and will be broadcast live on radio station 107.5-FM The River.
From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 10 and 11 and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 12, interviews with current and former patients and patient families will be aired on the radio by on-air personalities.
A phone bank with 12 phones will be staffed by volunteers who will take pledges throughout the three-day broadcast. Those who wish to donate may pledge any amount, or they can choose to join The River Kids Club, which is a $15-a-month partnership pledge of support to Children's Hospital.
Children's Hospital is one of the 22 original founding hospitals of the CMN. Formed in 1982, CMN remains the only national fund-raising effort with the credo that 100 percent of all the money raised locally goes directly to local member hospitals.
