Sheila Ridner, Ph.D. candidate and Lois Wagner, Ph.D. candidate, Senior Associate in Pediatrics and Clinical Instructor in Nursing, have each received a Vanderbilt Univeristy Dissertation Enhancement Award.
Ridner’s award enabled her to spend a week at the University of Missouri working with Dr. Jane Armer and her research team investigating lymphedema among breast cancer survivors.
Wagner will be spending several days with Dr. James Pennebaker and his research team as they investigate the nature of language and emotion in the real world, as well as his other research exploring a link between traumatic experiences and physical and mental health, at the University of Texas in Austin.
