Ries named director of plastic surgery group
William Russell Ries, M.D., associate professor and director of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, was recently elected the national director-at-large of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). Ries will serve the organization in this capacity until Fall 2007.
The AAFPRS was founded in 1964 and currently represents more than 3,000 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the world.
The AAFPRS is a National Medical Specialty Society of the American Medical Association (AMA). It promotes the highest quality of facial plastic surgery through education, dissemination of professional information and the establishment of professional standards.
